Cruising with Disney in September or October means you will have a spook-tacular experience as the ship is decked out with all things Halloween. From the Pumpkin tree in the atrium to the jack-o-lantern port holes, it is a ghoulishly good time for the whole family.

Besides themed nights like pirate night, there are other Halloween activities offered on the ship during Halloween on the High Seas. Some of the events include the story time at the Pumpkin Tree and Mickey’s Mouse-quarade party. I will highlight some of them to be sure not to miss.

It’s the first week of Fall here in Indiana which means hay rides, corn mazes, and pumpkin patches. Our bucket list usually includes all this plus apple picking, Wild Zoo Halloween, haunted houses and much more. One of our favorite places to visit every year is Kuenhert Dairy Farm Fall Festival. It is actually their seventh year and it gets bigger and better every year. They really have a lot to offer the whole family.

Show me your door! While walking the halls to your stateroom you will notice a common theme. Just about every door is decorated with magnets. It’s a Disney thing and something you will want to participate due to the fear of missing out. Lots of people take pride in their doors and really go all out. I mean decorating their door and even the wall next to their door. It really is a lot of fun and the magnets also helped my boys identify which door was ours. Downtown Fort Wayne just got a major upgrade to the riverfront with the addition of Promenade Park. If you haven’t visited this yet, you need to go check this out. It totally transformed the look and feel of downtown. As our family walked around the park, it felt like we somewhere else. One of my boys even asked if we were staying here overnight at a hotel so we could come back tomorrow. I replied that it was right here where we lived and how awesome is that.

We knew that this was going to be the theme of my littlest next birthday party months in advance. It is quite possibly every boy’s dream to get up close and personal with real Monster Jam Trucks. The sheer size of these trucks can’t be imagined unless you have seen them in person. With each wheel weighing over 600 lbs and the whole truck over 12,000 pounds, they live up to the name Monster. My boys, who can spend countless hours watching Monster Jam on TV, were beyond ecstatic to see them in person. For a limited time, Cedar Point has a temporary exhibit with these giants at Monster Jam Thunder Alley.
