Teacher Survival Kit for the First Day of School in 2020 – FREE Printable Tag

Ready or not, the first day of school is here during this new normal.  Ever since the day the kids started virtual learning, we have been debating what the return of school will look like.  These thoughts have been running though our minds all summer. Our teachers have been working hard planning and executing many changes for the new school year.  We definitely appreciate the extra effort and many hours dedicated to helping keep us all stay safe and have a great year.

At the beginning of each school year, we give a gift to each one of our teachers.  Our teachers are superstars and they deserve so much more.  In previous years, most of the back to school teacher survival kits have included items for the classroom and a few special extras just for the teacher.  This year we add some different but necessary options.  Read on to learn more and get the free printable to use with your gift.

Survival Kit Items

This year’s Teacher Survival Kit will include good hygiene and cleaning supplies.  What makes this so great is that the gift is both thoughtful and practical.  All the items will be very useful in the classroom and to help get the teacher through the day.

Here is what we included in our kit:

Hand Sanitizer – We actually included two bottles because it is so important for preventing the spread of the virus.

Disinfecting Wipes – Teachers will be constantly wiping everything down especially communal items and areas.  Can you ever really have enough?

Hand Soap – Washing your hands is the number 1 way to stop the spread of the virus.

Facial Tissue – Tissues are definitely a must during the cold and flu season.

Plastic Gloves – Extra gloves for clean up of all kinds of messes around the classroom.

Disposable Face Masks – All the kids in the school and classroom have to wear masks.  So if one gets damaged or lost then there are extra for back up.

Vitamin C – Keeping out teachers healthy is a high priority and vitamin C is a great way to help.

Advil – This is a good pain reliever option to have on hand.

Airborne – Another attempt to keep our teachers healthy and well.

Herbal Tea – A variety of herbal tea options that are great for any time of the day.

KIND Bars – Sweet and salty snack to have on hand to get through the day.

Chocolate – Let’s be real, we all need a little chocolate in our life!

Instant Coffee – Caffeine for that morning or afternoon pick me up.

Lifesavers – Yes, pun intended!  Our teachers are lifesavers!
