St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast

Top O’ the mornin’ to ya!  We celebrated with enough green to get anyone feeling the Irish vibes.  This year was the first year that we did more than just wear green and it was a blast.  Everything from making and setting out a leprechaun trap to a magical breakfast complete with green pancakes topped with lucky charms.

All the ideas were super easy to make and 99% of my decorations were purchased online.  Check out the details.

THE SET UP

To be honest, I decided to do the breakfast with just a couple days left for Amazon prime and Target shipping to arrive.  Don’t we live in an awesome time?  I have grown to love the holiday party supplies from Target.  It is now the first place I look.

ON THE MENU

We kept the food pretty simple and to the foods that I know my boys will love.  They will eat pancakes every day if you let them.  Isn’t funny though, when you change the color of something that they love then it all of a sudden brings the food into question.  For our breakfast, we served green pancakes topped with whip cream and lucky charms, sausage patties, rainbow yogurt, more lucky charms, rainbow fruit platter, and green milk.  I have become obsessed with these charcuterie boards lately especially with all the fruit.

We cranked up the Irish music to set the mood.  The boys even followed a fun scavenger hunt left behind by the leprechaun who out smarted our trap.  Overall the verdict on going all in for St. Patrick’s Day was well worth it.  It left me wondering why we never celebrated before.  This will definitely be on repeat for next year.  Tell me your favorite St. Patrick’s Day tradition in the comments.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
