Candy Land Birthday Party with Candy Bar

Life just got a whole lot sweeter with this Candy Land birthday party.  What little kid won’t love to have their candy-coated dreams come true?  Even this big kid has a sweet tooth.  Most of us can remember playing this timeless board game as a child.  Lately, playing Candy Land with our 4-year-old has become a daily occurrence in our home.  Although, I am impressed that he already knows how to stack the deck.

Planning a birthday party? Throw a Candy Land birthday party for your little birthday boy or girl.  This party includes all the sweet and sugary goodness of a candy bar, brightly colored table setting, tons of iconic decorations, DIY balloon garland, and even yard signs for your next birthday parade.  Check out the party decorations that you see here and more at Shingdiz.com.

Candy Bar Setup

Imagine the way that your kid would light up seeing this candy bar table!  When my youngest saw the table for the first time his jaw literally hit the floor.  He was so excited and wanted to grab handfuls of everything.  For the candy bar, I filled it with all the rainbow colored candy including swirly lollipops, skittles, gumdrops, gumballs, Dum Dum suckers, and even rainbow-colored popcorn.  The fruit flavored popcorn was purchased from a local business called Poptique Popcorn.  They have endless flavors of popcorn that I use for a lot of my celebrations and shipping options are also available.  The colorful candy-covered cake was made by Halls Takes the Cake.  It was decorated with a drip off the side topped with more lollipops and yes, even more candy!  Another sweet treat were the cookies from Sweet Girly Girl Cookies.  The amount of detail in these Candy Land cookies were a showstopper!  They were almost too cute to eat…almost!

Personalized party decorations have been my go-to for a while now.  I love the added touch of including the birthday child’s name on items like favors, water bottles, plates, signs, and backdrops.  For this Candy Land party, we used personalized options from Shindigz including swirly lollipops, gumball (candy) containers, water bottles, hand sanitizer, favor bag toppers, tabletop sets, yard signs and even centerpieces.  There are even more options available online from banners and cupcake wrappers to invitations.

Vintage Candy Bar Alternative

Another Spin on the Candy Bar is to set it up on a vintage dresser/table and top it with the personalized Candy Land table top awning from Shindigz.  I am really loving the vintage trend in decorating for parties and weddings. A big thanks for Big Lake Trading Post for letting us borrow this amazing table. Be sure to check out her site for furniture renovations, wreaths, seasonal decorations, and mores.

Candy Land Tablescape

Welcome guests to the table with a brightly colored table setting.  The centerpieces included personalized tabletop sets with the characters from the Candy Land board game.  The gang is all here! Candy cane wrapping paper lined the middle of the table and topped with gum ball like honeycomb tissue balls.

Candy Land Lawn Decorations

With birthday drive-by parades being all the rage lately, these yard decorations are the perfect way to celebrate.  Family and friends can drive by to wish your child happy birthday and the outside can be festive too.  Shindigz offers tons of yard signs like “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” letters, characters from the board game, garage banners, vertical banners, walkway signs and so much more.  I know my boys have loved the new trend and can’t wait until their birthdays to see the decorations outside for them.  See all the yard decorations available for Candy Land by following the link here.

We hope you feel inspired to celebrate and bring the magic of a childhood favorite game to life.  Candy Land is a perfect theme for both boys and girls or even a sweet 16 party.  The state of the world can be a scary place, but we can still make memories and celebrate the ones we love.
