How The Grinch Welcomed Back The Elf on The Shelf

Welcome your Elf on the Shelf back with the help of the green man himself, the Grinch!  Throw a themed breakfast for your little who’s and they’ll feast, feast, feast.  They’ll feast on who-pancakes and rare who’s dipped marshmallows. Every year we welcome back our Elf on the Shelf with a special breakfast.  We have done themes like Polar Express, Red & Green, Snowman, and even Disney when we announced that they were going on their first Disney Cruise.  Bring your Elf on the Shelf back with a bash too!

Indy’s Newest Christmas Nights of Lights Show

If you looking for something new and different to take your family to this holiday season then look no further.  The brand new Christmas Nights of Lights at the Indiana State Fairgrounds opened November 8th with over 1 million synchronized twinkling lights.

Stay warm in the comfort of your own vehicle as you drive through 2 miles of synchronized light displays.  Experience this amazing light show by tuning your car stereo to the FM station and singing along to rocking and traditional Christmas music.  This one of a kind event is Indy’s largest synchronized light show.  Your family and friends will be in awe at the larger-than-life displays of trees, snowman, nutcrackers, and tunnels of dancing lights plus much more.

It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Fort Wayne.  Can you believe that there was even snow on Halloween?! Now that the trick or treating is over, it is time to start thinking about your plans for the holidays.  For our family, it means planning out all our activities from meeting the big man in red to snuggling together on a carriage ride to see the lights around downtown.

Christmas Book Countdown Tradition – 50 Favorite Christmas Books

There is just something about the anticipation behind unwrapping a present to reveal the surprise that just can’t be put into words.  Seriously, what kid doesn’t like to unwrap gifts?  Years ago, I started this tradition where the boys took turns unwrapping a Christmas book every night to read.  This tradition gives back in many  more ways than just simply reading a good story.

The Christmas season is upon us and it is time to start thinking about the plans with your family.  One of my all time favorite traditions is the Advent calendar.  We started this when my older boys were 1 and 2 years old.  Every morning they would run down the stairs straight for the Advent to see what treasure and fun activity was in store for them that day.  You can just see the magic of the season come to life in their eyes.
